JLR Vehicle Technician (Level 2) Great Dunmow, Essex
Reporting to: Workshop Manager / Workshop Controller
Salary: Starting at £42,000 + Bonus DOE
Position type: Full-Time Contract
Working Hours: Mon-Thu 08.00–17.30hrs Fri: 08.00 – 17.00hrs + any additional hours as required.

JOB SUMMARY
As a Vehicle Technician you will be working within a professional garage / workshop environment alongside fellow Vehicle Technicians. The Vehicle Technician role involves carrying out, service and repair of vehicles to the highest standards whilst maintaining optimal efficiencies and first-time fix.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A VEHICLE TECHNICIAN (LEVEL 2)
The Vehicle Technician reports to the Workshop Manager and Workshop Controller.
- Carrying out Vehicle Health Checks (VHC’s) / inspections (to identify any mechanical or electrical issues).
- Performing routine vehicle servicing tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, tyre and brake fitting.
- Repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Performing any scheduled maintenance tasks according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
- Ensuring that all work meets quality standards.
- Carrying out service and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
- Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of all your work.
- Communicating with both the Service Advisor / Reception team and Workshop Control.
- Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
- Delivering exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
- Adhering to manufacturer procedures and processes.
- Being part of a team and bringing a high attention to detail.

Qualifications and education requirements:
- IMI / C&G Level 2 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair..
- Possess a Full UK driving licence
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Service Technician within an independent or main dealer workshop / garage environment.
- Possess a good and varied knowledge and understanding of motor vehicles
- Good verbal communication
