The Opportunity
Due to planned expansion and continued business growth, Taylor’s Service Centres and Taylor’s Select Used Cars are now looking to recruit an additional Service Advisor to join their professional Customer Service Team.

Our Service Advisors play an important role in providing customers with a personalised premium experience, as they come back to us time and time again for servicing, MOT and repairs.
It is the Service Advisors job to show off their in-depth knowledge and expertise so that our customers have all the information they require when making decisions about the servicing and repair of their vehicle.
Duties of a Taylor’s Service Advisor;
- To drive the business forward, by identifying and communicating sales opportunities and following company procedures within the service department with integrity and honesty.
- To maintain a high standard of professionalism within the working environment.
- Pre-booking customers in the diary
- To match and exceed monthly sales targets
- Processing of paperwork
- To create and provide quotations and estimates for service and repair work to customers vehicles.
- Keeping customers updated with the progress of their vehicle repairs.
- Coordinating and ensuring that customer vehicles will be ready at the agreed time.
- Respond positively to customer telephone enquiries regarding service and repairs.
- To plan and manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are achieved.
- Greet customers and visitors promptly, courteously and professionally.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all customers, suppliers and dealership colleagues.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building relationships and ensuring all customers are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Have a positive sales approach to upselling company products.
- Be product aware of Jaguar Land Rover and other car brands
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as a Service Advisor within a franchise or main car dealership.
- Must have a genuine interest in working within the Automotive industry.
- Mechanical knowledge advantageous.
- Trade knowledge and sales skills
- Motivated with a desire to enhance their knowledge
- Possess excellent communication skills including verbal and written
- Be a strong positive team player and be able to work independently.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills to schedule work effectively balancing the needs of the customer and the capacity of the workshop
- Customer focus
- Have 4 good GSCE’s including Maths and English (Grade A* to C or 9-4)
